★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 75 reviews · 8 hours (approx.) · from $79Top rated

From Cusco, Mayuc River Rafting takes you to the Urubamba River for a guided day of rapids, ziplining, lunch, and sauna time. Guides such as Amerigo, Anderson, David, and Gabriel have led past departures. Expect about two hours of road travel each way and a small group of no more than 18 people.

“What a fun day! David and Gabriel made our zip lining and rafting trip an awesome experience! They were puntual in picking us up from our hotel in Cusco and transportation was great! Zip lining was first and it was a blast (and very safe 😄)! David and Gabriel were thorough with the safety instructions and ensured we felt safe throughout the adventure. The commands were easy to follow and although we got to level 3+ rapids, no one fell out. Well, unintentionally that is. LOL We even stopped along the way to jump off a rock into the very cold water. Believe or not, the cold temps didn’t bother…”

“Really enjoyed the Adventure Hike, lots of pros with only a few cons, see below breakdown of the 4 days (I travelled early June 2024), some tips and a packing list of what to take. Day 1, Bike and Raft: Bike was great fun, very easy/beginner friendly as mostly downhill but get to pick up some speed while catching the views. Rafting was excellent with a few decent rapids. Accommodation was terrible, very basic shared hostel with only cold water shower (not ideal after rafting), food was average but didn't go hungry. Day 2, Hike: I'd class myself intermediate hiker and I found it pretty easy, there's a few hills…”

5.Cusco Rafting and Zipline Adventure

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 47 reviews · 8 hours (approx.) · from $100

Leave Cusco for a full day on the Vilcanota River, with Class III to IV rapids, professional English-speaking guides, lunch, a sauna, and two ziplines. Guides including Juan Carlos, Davide, David, Anderson, and Victor have led strong outings, though the zipline is a modest add-on rather than the main event.

“12/10 would recommend! As a solo female traveler I felt very safe and the tour guides made a great effort to make everyone feel included. You’re on the water for about 2 hours and the guides do a great job of getting everyone in the photos and videos so you have great memories to take away. There is a sauna at the end, so would recommend everyone to bring a second pair of clothes or shorts instead of long pants so you can change after being all soaked and enjoy the sauna. Food was great as well”
